I am Charlotte Simmonds, the owner and creative drive behind Flowers for Susie. I trained in Ceramic and Industrial design at Central Saint Martins in London, before embarking on a career in Design. Over the past 24 years I have designed products for many well known brands including Wedgwood, Jasper Conran & John Lewis. It was Christmas 2019 when I decided to leave the corporate rat race and head out on my own to realise my dream of making this ‘side hustle’ my full time job.
Inspiration…
The biggest inspiration for my designs is mid-century pattern and colour which evokes a warm sense of nostalgia with a contemporary aesthetic. I am captivated by repeat pattern and love to use motifs and simple silhouettes to create modern design statements for the home. I’m driven by a desire to create products that brighten up our world adding a unique design statement to your home. My designs are intended to be timeless pieces, transcending fast fashion.
