Louise Scott is a Glasgow-based artist, specialising in copper plate etchings and marine life images. She is a member of the Glasgow Print Studio and the Glasgow Society of Women Artists. Previously, Louise lived in Orkney for 17 years where she ran The Inkstone Gallery in the beautiful village of St Margaret’s Hope. She trained in Printmaking at Cheltenham College of Art back in the 80’s and then spent many years in the Conservation Field.
Louise creates her copper plate etchings using a sewing needle and a magnifying glass! Her inspiration comes from the natural world and the animals that inhabit earth, air and water.
